Meet The Clinic Team

Dr. Alicia Pownall, DVM

Dr. Pownall graduated Magna cum Laude from Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine and will lead the team at our new clinic. Dr. Pownall comes with valuable experience in a high-volume, high-quality spay and neuter clinic, and is enthusiastic to begin working to make a difference in our local community. She is Fear-Free Certified, and spent time traveling to rural Washington to the Native American Reserves setting up mobile clinics for wellness exams, vaccinations, and spay/neuter at no cost to the low-income area.

Michelle Riley, Vet Tech

Michelle has been in the Veterinary profession for 20 years, working in a small-animal, general practice as a veterinary assistant and receptionist. Over the course of Michelle’s career, she has worn many hats and gained experience being in a supervisory role as well as the clinic office manager. She is very excited to be working with the Humane Society of Warren County and further serve the community through the work of the HSWC Spay Clinic.

Cailin Young, Tech Assistant

Cailin joined the clinic team in the fall of 2022 and has been an absolutely wonderful addition to our team. We are very lucky to have such skilled staff at our clinic and Cailin is no exception. She comes to us with years of experience in the veterinary field having done a little of everything. Cailin is like a ninja in the clinic always keeping busy and making sure all tasks are completed. She enjoys working with all animals, but is especially good with the spicy babies (kittens). There is a calming presence about her that they seem to appreciate when visiting the clinic.

Stephanie Chaboudy, Receptionist

Stephanie joined the clinic team earlier this year and we are happy to have her on board. She comes to us with great experience in the veterinary field as well as shelter medicine. She has previously worked as a veterinary receptionist and assistant and is familiar with office management. It was clear from the start that Stephanie keeps things very organized and tidy (which we can all appreciate), and has been an asset to us from the bookkeeping side of things. She is pictured here with her sweet, spoiled, senior girl Winnie.
